In Winamp, go to the preferences window, select the output plug-ins section,
press configure on the default plug-in and check Winamp is going through the
correct soundcard using the JAWS cursor.

Try hitting the letter C key on your key board.
WINAMP maybe paused, hitting the letter C key may get those files playing
again in WINAMP for you.
I don't know anything about vista, but I think this mite work.
