Now if ya want to rrecord from just line in, than follow her instructions
till you get to line in and check that box. That will turn the mike off.

Hi Norma, be sure your set to record from sound board. Also check the
What you hear . Some sound cards call this Stereo mixer.
Total recorder will not let you record if something is not set properly.

i'm using jfw and here are some instructions which will hopefully fix your
problem.
go into control pannel and click on sounds and audio devices.
then tab down to device volume advanced button and press space on that.
once the screen pops up with all the various controls for sound
inputs
