One thing I neglected to ask: If I work in Studio Recorder or any of the
other software you all have suggested, I need to be able to then work on
the same files with say SoundForge or Cooledit etc. which others in my
radio collective might be us
yes and you can also use third party editers with it as well.

I like NTrack Studio. I haven't gotten the chance to use it a great
deal, but it seems so far to be very accessible, and the author is

Hi Jan,
Studio Recorder version 3.0 is officially out, and it supports both sound on
sound and multi-tracking capabilities. I'm currently using it for both
laying down tracks for a recording project, as well as adding background
music to other projects.
They've also added dynamic compression, a
i use cakewalk home studio!! i think it is the most accessible program i
have used for multitrak recording!! could give me your email and we could
talk about it off list!
