Yes, I checked the mic/line in box to show in playback or recording, etc.
The control still displays as mic/line in.
One thing I read in the manual is that the line in will override the
microphone when using both inputs.

Yes, the card does have separate line in and mic inputs. However, there is
only one check box for mic/line in under both recording and playback in
volume control.

Hi Julia,
I have the USB creative SoundBlaster not soundBlaster live but I'm getting
the live card soon. I know that on my soundcard I do have separate
connections for Mic/line-in and from memory it comes up like that in volume
control. Does the live card have separate ports for line-in and mic?
