This means there are no advanced properties available for the particular
soundcard in that machine.

maybe a different driver set. Maybe the new cards don't have advanced
controls but my old audigy 1 does.

This should not be happening. I don't have this problem on this laptop, does
fine on this laptop running Window-Eyes, which i'm useing here, along with
jfw 8.0
