It's pretty much the R-1 without the effects except reverb, it's: half
the size of the R-1, gets better battery life and uses Secure Digital cards
rather than Compact Flash cards.

One can buy 4 gb SD cards nowadays. However, Edirol says, that the R-09
can use cards of up to two gb.

Wow. Nice to feel all up to date when you've just purchased your giant
clunky Edirol R1! LOL! I won't be in the market for a new recorder for
