This is indeed true according to the documentation, but I've had my DTBM
play MP3's that were not in the Audio+Podcasts direc
It probably has something to do with the U3 software on the Sandisc drives.

very big, but remember that the player was mainly designed to play NLS
books. A 2 gig cartridge will hold something like 180 hours of content.

First, you can put music onto the blank cartridges. They are essentially
flash drives with a fancy case around them to fit into the NLS player, so
anything you can put onto a flash drive, you can put on the cartridge.
