This can be controlled in the Winamp output plugin which you can access via
preferences. In the standard plugin, there is a
checkbox in the "Other" tab to remove silence from the start and end of tracks.
Alternatively, you can get the SQR Soft crossfade
plugin which you can configu
Not that I know of but you can rip them in a way which decrease them
substantially.
