You do need to connect the Nano to iTunes to configure it, but once those
recordings are transferred to your nano, you don't need to be connected to

Yep that's right, I myself (if I'm not beaten to it ) will be
doing one with Itunes for Windows but actually some of the concepts in
the podcast are strikingly similar, that is to say if you can use
Itunes for the Mac then you can use it for Windows.
