Hi,
Is there a way to determine the bitrate of an mp3 file?
Thank you.

Of course it will degrade. Remember this: making an mp3 removes
permanently removes data. Making it into a wav file and removing more
data won't make things better.

If I take an MP3 recording, put it in Sound Forge, then save it again at the
same bit rate, will it degrade in quality each time I save it ?
I was told this, and thought that if it was saved at the same rate, it would
stay the same quality?

Hi,
I want to make mp3 cds to play on my car's new mp3 cd-player. What is the
correct sampling for mp3's to play on standard mp3 cd players, 16000, or
24000?
Thanks.

Hiall,appriciateallyourexpertadvise.
Ihavebeenusingthisplusdectape drive which converts tapes to wav or mp3
and it seemed to be doing ok. My complaint is that there is no real menu
system, you got to have some sight and a screen ehancer to change
anything and tsomehow something got changed and now
music may yield
lower bitrates.
Regards.

described above, stop the file from playing, and go to the file menu,
arrow down until you hear "save selection," then save the selection
to a file name. It wont be necessary to include the dot extension if
you're already record
