Hi Gordon.
You should find no difference whatsoever when ripping to wma lossless as the
nero ripper, and any other ripper for that matter, will be using a microsoft
provided codec.
There is much debate on which program will give a better rip but the truth

Hi
This may seem a stupid question but please humour me.
When ripping with different programs, e.g. Nero, Windows Media Player etc. if I
wish to use Windows Media Lossless format does it matter which program I use?
Is it likely that Media Player might have the better codec as it is a Microsoft

have
knowledge as to how I could incorporate this kind of codec?
Once again my appreciation for you taking the time to respond.

Thanks again Dane,
I'm afraid I've no experience with setting up scripts in this way. If it's
possible to get something which would allow conversion from Itunes to one of
the other lossless formats I'd be greatly interested. Do you yourself have
knowledge as to how I could i
with apple or a batch file with Windows to permit this.
As far as losing quality? Well, they don't call em "lossless formats"
for nothin .

Ok, well if I may throw mmy 2 cents in here. Itunes should allow the
conversion of Apple Lossless (or AAC Lossless if you prefer) to Wav
but the next step will require another application to convert that
wave audio to FLAC, nothing that an Apple Script cannot automate of
course.

See my "irritating gaps in CD playback in Winamp" message.. I've tried
ripping with Winamp, and I usually get some sort of stutter at the very end of
a track, which I have gotten on two different computers. To be more to the
point let me tell you what I'm actually trying to do. I want to:
