You did close out the program from the system tray first, didn't you?
If not, this is most likely your problem. A file can't be written to if
it is still in use, in this case, th
hat simply exiting the program with Alt F4
would still have left it running, and hadn't rebooted, I'd still be stuck.

You need to make sure any copy of iPodder you have on your system is closed
before running any updates. You really, really don't want to update this
version of iPodder though,
s at fault. But if it's something on my computer that's resisting or
sabotaging the installation, I have no idea what that might be. As before,
