Jim! You can tell Sound Forge to make regions delimited by silence. I
haven't done it in a very long time. Perhaps play with Tools, Auto Region.

Hi Again gang:
I have a very large audio book which I want to divide in to files representing
each chapter. My question is, is there a way to automatically insert markers at
each chapter break without listening to the whole book? There is approximately
2 seconds of silence between chapter break
