Yes, within the program there are options to modify files or folders.

I'd go download a program called mp3 gain. I'd also convert your wave files
to mp3 which will save you space. mp3 gain does an excellent job at
normalizing volumes so they are all the same.

The advantage of using MP3GAIN over programs such as Sound Forge and
Goldwave is that the changes MP3Gain makes are completely lossless.
There is no quality lost in the change because the program adjusts the
mp3 file directly, without decoding and re-encoding.
It is free and yo
it from
http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net
Note that it won't normalise your wave files.

Hi listers,
Is there a way to do a batch volume boost in Sound Forge ver 8? I am trying
to get each of my MP3's to be the same volume. I want to be able to get it
done using a batch process in stead of one at a time.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Tyler,
Thanks for your suggestion. Will check it out. I had a old version of Nero,
but cannot get it to work on this new Vista machine, and in there I could
equalize.
Thanks again,

I have an older version of Goldwave. The volumes on all of the songs are all
different as they were recorded at many different times and from different

I want my playback and moritoring volumes to be the same so that I don't have
to keep adjusting the speaker levels. I don't want to affect the volume being
recorded, that's fine, just what comes out of the speakers.
Using an onboard audio system, if that matters.
