Is there any way I can copy a commercially produced DVD on to my
computer? If so how would I do this?

Eleanor, I use a wonderful program called DVDFAB. It has a lot of
functionality much of which is not accessible without scripting.
However, the choices of either copying just the main movie or copying
the entire disc are accessible at least with Window-Eyes and presumably
also with Jaws.

hi, yes, you can do this, nero allows you to import a dvd to your hard drive
but you cant burn a copy because of copy protection.
