SOS I cannot use Winamp or Windows Media Player. When I select a file to play
Winamp gives me the following message: "bad direct sound driver. Please instal
proper driver or select another configuration. Error 8878000a"

Thanks for the info. At the moment I am stumped. I went to the Sony dealer,
here in Malta, and he only imports 2 models neither of which have a resume
facility. I then bought a Plips machine (the identical model to that
