The movie sound doesn't start when you insert the dvd. When you insert the

When you insert the dvd into your computer or dvd player
you probably won't be taken to the start of the movie. You'll hear an ad
for another show or maybe an interactive game or something. To get to the
movie you have to find the play button or the next track button and press
it.

Once Power dvd opens, Try hitting the windows key or clicking the right
mouse button and a complete context menu comes up that allows you good
access to most controls. Or at least it does on this computer, a Del
Inspirn 5150 laptop. hth

Try hitting start, programs, accesories, entertainment, volume control
Once you have volume control opened, tab twice to "play Control." Use the
arrow keys to adjust the master volume of the computer.
This has worked for me when i've encountered embeded audio in web pages with
low volume.
