After a bit of experimenting, I found a solution for those who are attempting
to use GoldWave 5.65 with Jaws and the Jaws scripts.
Until the scripts are updated, this seems to be the way.
Go to your Jaws submenu and press enter.
Press enter on explore Jaws.
Press enter on explore my settings.

Again, this is jaws specific, and has to do with the scripts that were
written for the programme. Of course the selection/pasting does actually
work, even if jaws thinks it does not.

out command. They might be in a submenu.
In Goldwave 4, which is what I have, I go to the Effects menu, down arrow
