I use control panel, sounds.
Select the device and, I think it is under general, select properties.
I have to use the jaws cursor to find the balance but then you can use the
up/down/pgup/pgdn buttons

I really like songra. The only thing you can't do is adjust the bit rates
for mp3 files. I think they are at 320K. Of course if you want them
smaller, you can always convert them down.
