Hey, Loren.
Glad to see you posting on the PC Audio List. I think you'll find a lot of
good info hear if you want to go ahead and subscribe. As to tutorials for
Goldwave, the Blind Geek Zone by Rick Harmon has a very thorough series of
audio tutorials which can be found at

O, ok then I can give it a look. No GoldWave is not what I need now. I
did use it but I then went to audacity. And GoldWave is not free. I'm
talking here about a lighter utility, and total recorder is more
closer to the rite thing. GoldWave and alike is good for editing, but
if you want to quickly
I figured out the problem was the cable line. So I just disconnect that and
there is no hum. But now I will have to record on my VCR/DVD then play that
as I record on my PC.

No; Total Recorder has nothing to do with Skype..although I suppose you
could record Skype calls with it. But Total Recorder _does_ record; I also
believe you can edit (that is, if you have the pro version) which I don't
have!

I reckon goldwave will do what you want.
You can certainly set a time for the recording to start and end.
You can save in many audio file types.
You have a range of keyboard shortcuts.
Goldwave will run with a number of screen readers.
What more do you need?

you are correct. just like getting rid of everything before the start
marker, you get rid of everything after the finish marker. you can do one at
a time or both of them at the same time if you need to.

Greetings,
I suspect you put the finish marker at the point from which you wish to
trim, this seems logical to me but I am only guessing as to date this
feature is unknown to me.

just set your finish marker and hit control t to trim. the finish marker
works just like the start marker in this case. you will get rid of
everything after it.

Hello gang.
IN GW I have a mp3 file open. I know if I drop a start marker say 10 seconds
into the mp3 file and hit CTRL T then GW trims off those first 10 seconds of
the mp3 file.
What I want to do is trim off the last 20 seconds of an mp3 file. How the heck
do I do that?

Wel, isn't that for use with skype? I thought you need skype to be
instaled or something. That's why I left it out for now, but if i'm
rong, I could give it a look again.

Hi Again. Is anyone here using the latest Winamp?
I need to find out why my eq controls are not working.
I am in the winamp equalizer window. I can turn the eq on and off with
the n key. I can load or save presets with the s key. I can change the
pre-amp level with the tab and ` keys. But
I would also imagine that Total Recorder would do what you want; others on
here can tell me if I'm right (it _does_ record) but not sure of whether it
will do whatever it is you need it for!

If you red what I rote, I mention a program wich is not a audio
editer. So it does not have the same features. No editing, no
recording standby, no project like interface. A program wich can start
recording directly on the fly, with system hotkeys and a skeduler, and
wich record directly in mp3/wav
Well there's stuff like Sound Fourge, Audacitcy, Studio Recorder and others.

Hi list,
Greetings,
sorry can't help with tutorials but having just checked for GoldWave
updates, nothing shown, so the latest, V5.67, is fine.
As I am an XP Home user, maybe I do not receive notification of the program,
which, so I understand, will in future, not support my system.
