I read somewhere that this is possible with MP3Direct Cut using
cut/copy and paste, but I didn't get it to work for me. I use an
older version, I think 1.31, which has a much cleaner and simpler way
of doing it. Hopefully you can find an old version still with this feature.

Hi, if you have only a mic jack, you can get an attenuator.
Or, find a way to do it from the audio controll pannel.
My sony is not a top of the line modle and I have stereo input just for mic.
