Kathy, in Winamp and any other playback programs, set it to use your actual
sound card. As I stated previously, if you use the user mode driver and your
playback program supports direct sound, sound may be garbled. Hope this
helps.

I tried what you suggested in ripping settings but that didn't do it.
Looking on the net though, I came on the answer: Disable internet access in
general preferences. That might mean I can't point to URL locations and
play them in winamp, but nbe obliged to download before opening

Not sure how many of you guys wil want this functionality but a few
of you skype veterans might remember the autoanswer functionality
that Mr.Doug Lee's jaws scripts for skype used to give us several
years and skype version
