I suspect that no matter how many programs can convert Audible files, the
problem will be whether the person converting the files has ownership of the
files as Audible books.

You are probably using a later version of audible manager. You need to find an
older version.

MP3DirectCut will do what you want.
Do a search for MP3DirectCut and you should find it.
If you don't have any luck let me know off list and I'll attach to you.
BTW this program is freeware.

Hi list,
I hope this question is on topic. Does anyone know of a program that can
split large audio files into smaller mp3's? I have some audio books that are
a single file and I would like to split these into smaller files.

Hi,
So, heres my problem. Using an asus eee pc 900 ha, I can't get recording volume
control to show up in sounds and audio devices. When I go to properties, I can
only select playback radio button, not recording. I can't click on recording
volume - well I can, but nothing displays. It does, how
It is my understanding that some on this list have converted
Audible files using Sound Taxi. Thus far, I get an error
message, specifically file format not supported, whenever I
try to do this.
So I would appreciate some specifics as to how to convert
Audible files using Sound Taxi.
Thanks m

A .rar file is a compressed file, NOT an audio format. You need to
decompress it, with Winzip, Winrar, or 7zip; then you will have files you
can read, or play in a media player.

I think .RAR is akind of hyperzip, or a superset of the .ZIP format. Have
had good luck with the program Winwrar or Winrar having seen it with and
without the extra W.

Dean,
Thanks, and that's exactly what I do. The problem is the shaky output I
get. I can't figure out why though, because it doesn't happen all the
time.
Any more hints or suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
