No, I cannot; but personally this matters little as I
have a separate speech synthesizer so I use the volume controls of the pc
itself.

Are you looking for a hardware MP3 player like an iPod or are you
looking for an MP3 player for your PC like Winamp or Windows Media
Player? I'm assuming the former.
Are you looking for anything in particular, such as an off the shelf MP3
player or something designed specifically for the blind?
Rockbox is a replacement for the firmware running on your MP3 player
itself. So, if I understand your question, the answer would be no. It is
not an MP3 player for your PC like winamp or Windows Media Player where
you can organize your music and sync it with a MP3 player.

The only way I know of overcoming this is to do it in two stages.
First, put your CD in the tray and start CDEX - the tray will close and CDEX
will detect the tracks on the disc,
Then press the F10 button on your keyboard and press enter. This tells CDEX

Once installed, SilverLight should give you no hassles.
And, as you are beta writing scripts for the forthcoming WE7, whatever
issues remain (if any) probably can be addressed with that.

It's the recording source options. You can turn the dialog off in the

Can't add much to this as I'm not a Goldwave user at present.
The obvious difference now between the latest version, nine, of Sound

Hi list. I am guilty of this so spank me with a wet noodle. I haven't

Hi Rick, Windows Media Player is indeed up to the task, I would rip at 320
kb/ps, 44.1 khz. That's what all my cd's are ripped at. Or, if you want to
save space on your hard drive, then you could go for 256 or even 192 kb/ps,
the quality would still be quite good.
