Hi,
I had so much trouble with the extra file size because I was given the
distinct impression by some, (probably not on this list) that I could just
keep everything in goldwave unbounded and open and close the file and record
as long or as short as I needed to, and things would be allright.
Okay. It made me unsure of whether I wanted to give it a try when I heard
that.
Thanks.

If it's of any help, my library is stored on a portable drive so I can hear
it next to me working and it's running quite hard. I hope it's analyzing my
music data. I'll post more when it's through. I don't want to disturb it
until the drive stops.

I wouldn't advise that either. I would suggest going to the line out of a
tape deck for better signal and no likelihood of unwanted added frequencies.
Just my $.02.

Ok everyone,
I solved the problem of exessive length. I bounded the selection. That
gave me 585 megs which sould easily fit on the cd. Look how much space I
had wasted by keeping things unbounded.

Is there a way to murge two audio files into one file but take out the blip of
silents that I hear? It's very noticeable during audio effects. No matter how I
crop the two files I can't seam to get rid of it. I'm using sound forge, but if
another utility is better please let me know.

Didn't someone say that this program had spyware within it?
I thought I heard that last weekend.
That kind of makes me not want to use the program.

Hi Curtis,
I have recorded the songs from my 56 minute tape, with sampling rate of
44,100, stereo and set it for 57 minutes, saved it as a wav file. Before
splitting the file it is 1.4 gig. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
If the acceptable cd rate is 44,100 and regular cd players

Use unbounded, because you set it to 80 minutes, it is 80 minutes no matter
your recording time.

I meant from the line-in jack of the soundcard to the headphone jack of the
cassette deck. I must be going mad.
