interviews of musicians which was fine but I do find the buttons very small
and awkward and with no feedback to confirm that pressing. So I would like
something small but more accessible with high quality recording in .wav.

I'd not use the PTR2's MP3 encoding when recording, 256 KBPS is
acceptable, but I'd use PCm Wave in most situations. The Encoder of
the Edirol is a bit better IMHO. However, the preamp of the Edirol is

Hey John, thanks for the tip. Hopefully I can manage to get a good

High Larry,
Any cd or DVD drive you get comes with software.
Most of them that I know about comes with Nero, but some may come with

They will set you back some where between $50 to $70.
But it all depends on the brand and mottle.

Can anyone help?
I currently have Nero 6 which works relatively well but have received a offer
to upgrade to Nero 7 and save $30.00 off the regular price.
What I do not know is Nero 7 as accessible as Nero 6?

I believe the way forward these days is to get a solid state recording
