I use multiren (multiple file renamer) which was a PC Magazine shareware hit
a few years back. It's good for typing whole titles plus the mp3 or whatever
extention into the box and then numbering away.
It has a "creat undo file" option which makes one of those old familiar dos

Hi Jim,
Does SF think perhaps that your mp3 plugin's not registered?
It's a shot in the dark and usually it'd nag you but I've seen it work both
ways where rather then teling you that you had "exceeded your encoding limit
and bla bla bla", it just won't let you set custom options for saving an mp3
Hi
Can anyone recommend a good freeware batch file renamer? I will be
using it to rename mp3 files though the file type probably should not
matter. There are many file renamers available. I tried a couple but
they turned out to be trial versions or required making changes in the
registry. I th
I've downloaded the MP3 Merge program but when I try to add files it won't
recognize my .mpg files. It'll only recognize mp3 and mp2 files. I tried
using Goldwave but it messed up the audio .. of course, that might be
because Isaved the .mpg as an .mp3 file. I'm going to try it again and see
Hi Ken,
What I'm assuming you want to do here, is record stuff from tapes and
put it onto your pC, if you want to go for something relatively
inexpensive that'll do the Job, I'd go with GoldWave. IT's just a
matter of hooking up your tape recorder to your sound card's line-in
jack, and changin
to record, via a relatively inexpensive software that will enable me to burn
from my cassettetapes various collected voice/music, Ealso am not surre that I
can attain all of this via mp3 format; Also, does anyone know about the new
software called coolsoft? I think I have the nname, coolware
Hi Again:
The highest bit rate I can choose is 128.
I must have an encoder problem.
Cheers.

Hi Folks:
For some reason, I am not able to change all of the parameters I would like
in the save As/Custom dialog box. For example, I cannot choose between
stereo, mono, joint stereo, ETC. I am defaulting to joint stereo.
I can see the options with the JAWS cursor; however, they are unavaila

Hi all,
I'm just trying to get Audiomatic set up so I can be lazy and not have
to do as much stuff on my computer. The problem is that my ASR engines
refuse to work. I have Microsoft recognizer 5.1 and the engine that came
with the speech SDK. However, when I go into Control Panel, it gives me
why not try VCDCutter?
happy trying.
