OK folks, solved my little problem. I just set the player to none, and
looks like that did the trick. All is well.

Hello,
I just now finally got around to downloading iPodder so as to get into this
Podcast thang, and I already have a question. How do you get this program
to make iPodder play all mp3 Podcasts in Winamp rather than WMP. So far the
only file to play using Winamp is the default welcome file. At
Gold Wave works admirably for this task. It's probably the biggest bang
for your vuck for what you want to accomlish.

Hello List,
I am an amateur (meaning one who loves) audio producer who is so
frustrated, I may go back to analog! I wonder if any of you could tell
me if there is a simple sound-editing program which is supported by JAWS
out of the box, i.e. does not require additional scripts? I need to do

I totally agree. I only use my computer to listen to music, listen to
books, and contact my friends and others by email. This list has provided
me with a number of excellent suggestions in the past. I am sorry to have

Jeff,
Audible.com sells audio books that you can play on your computer, and

Ok, Jeff. I'm not at all sure what will make you happy. First, you said
file downloading was off-topic because of the illegal services out there.
Then, when someone asks if they can legally purchase books, which clearly
fall under the category of PC audio, you scold that person and those of us
Very sorry! Is it off topic to ask a question about JAWS?

Listers,
Is anyone aware of reasonably priced speech compression software which will
compress either an MP3 or wav file? Alternatively, is there a winamp plug
in which compresses speech without increasing the pitch? I found one plug
in but it increased pitch as it speeded up the speech.

Hmm, I only see that as a file converter. I didn't know it had a music
player. I'm happy with Winamp though, and just use DBPowerAmp for
conversions.
Thanks a lot.
