How can we the short down the numbers in the ticket number?

change the ticket number generator.
Edit Config Settings in Ticket -> Core::Ticket
Ticket::NumberGenerator
Note that email responses to open tickets may (?) create new tickets
if the number generator changes (and therefore the ticket number
parser.)
