In fact you can, when you go to the link option you can choose different
objects such other Configuration Items, Tickets, Work Orders from Changes,
FAQ Items and so on.
There will be a drop box where you can choose the object type.

OK, never mind, I figured this out after a little more searching.
Just for those wondering the same thing:
1.) Open the "source" item
2.) Click "Link"
3.) Choose the ConfigItem you wish to link it with
4.) Rinse and repeat as necessary
