BPI-R4: Copper SFP issues

Hi! I've got some issues bringing up copper SFPs in a BananaPi BPI-R4 runnig the latest OpenWrt master. Using the original Firmware pre-installed on the BPI-R4 makes the modules work as expected: I've tested with a HPE J8177C 1GBASE-T module as well as with a FS SFP-10G-T module. Any ideas what
