personally I'd more lean towards something like:
option encryption wep+shared
or
option encryption wep+open
or
option encryption wep-mixed which would be equivalent to "wep"
This would be in line with the proto+algo format for wpa.

I have modified the Makefile of the libevent package, as it produced a weird
error when I try to compile my project using it.
With the line "Hooks/InstallDev/Post += libtool_fixup_libdir", I've got a
strange "/usr/lib/libevent.so" added to my link command line, which produces
an error.
