Thanks, but when I said it doesn't respond to pings, I meant that it
also doesn't respond to any other network contact (telnet, ssh, http,
etc.). So that's not an option.

After successfully flashing my DIR-615C1 with an openwrt snapshot
image, I got overconfident and built my own image with a patch to
support the LEDs. I flashed it via the luci web interface, and now it
seems to be bricked.
Symptoms: normal boot doesn't respond to pings at all. Emergency
restore
