Doesn't seem like 3.18 has something that 4.0 or 4.1 have, although it might be interesting for proper UML support in CC. I would just submit the patch as it is, to have it included in master ASAP. Although the migration to any of the 4.x kernels does seem straightforward... It's up to you =) On
