Hi,
A correction to the previous mail. I just noticed that OpenWRT compiles fine
only with gcc44 on Mac OS X after applying our patch. gcc45 results in grub
host-compiling problems. If you want to try our patch you need to install gcc44
(in addition to the other ports):
sudo port install gcc44
This patch series enables management frame protection (802.11w) in hostapd and
wpa_supplicant. Both programs implement IEEE Std 802.11w-2009 since version
0.7.0 (1),(2). According to (3), the only driver that currently supports
802.11w is ath9k.
I have tested this on two identical OpenWrt devic

Well you can also lift the bga chip and compare it to another router with a
jtag and ar2317

I doubt it. They all seem to require a nda, I already checked.
Besides, this is BGA chip, so there is now way to see how stuff is
connected to the cpu.

Hi,
CONFIG_CMDLINE="root=/dev/mtdblock2 rootfstype=squashfs,jffs2 noinitrd
console=ttyS0,115200"
is missing in config-2.6.33 for brcm47xx

I will see what i can do. Maybe you can get the datasheet for the ar2317
chip.

Yes, but there are lots of testpoints around the cpu, I bet some of
them are from a jtag port.
Without those pins, the only possibility would be an to attach an
in-ciruit programmer to the flash chip, but this will be really
difficult and the success probability not very high.

The router does not have jtag pins. it only has a ttl port.

Hi,
When building openwrt-x86-ext2.vmdk vmware-image on Mac OS Snow Leopard the
image won't boot on VMWare Fusion. The essential problem seems to be that Mac
OS would need to run the 'grub'-executable to initialize the grub boot-loader,
but the grub shell is not host-compiled into Mach-O execu
