I reworked and fixed the mklibs.py integration and it actually works
now. The reported 4KB space saving in the linker binary that florian
reported was just simple stripping, not actual relinking.
Here are the results with a slightly-bigger-than-standard configuration
on a mips target:

ucitrigger isn't used by anything at the moment and it pulls in the
lua and liblua-uci dependencies. Recommending removal of the default
packageset for now.

Greetings, So far I am unable to build gpsd 2.39. I am confused by the new
requirement for python in gpsd 2.39. Does anyone know if python is only
required to build or is it also a run-time requirement?

2 months ago I created the following ticket.

I assume it was not added because of the inappropriate format. Today I
added a patch to the ticket which holds the new package changes against
