Hi,
I recognized that overrides can not be seen/applied by observers of tasks
in OpenVAS 6. The issue has been mentioned some time ago already (see
below), but there seems to no final answer/solution. I want to use it for
the same reasons as mentioned below. Is there any information available i
Have you added the observers to the Tasks in question?

Hi there,
is there a way to migrate an existing OpenVAS6 system including targets,
schedules, tasks, overrides, notes to OpenVAS7 running on another system
or in place? I know within OpenVAS6 it was simply done by copying
/var/lib/openvas/* and /etc/openvas/* to the other system, but since there

That did it... tasks are visible now, but the user does still not see any
applied notes and overrides.
Anyone who can help here?

Hi there,
I did setup OpenVAS-7 including Trusted NVTs according to the OpenVAS
guidance like I did for OpenVAS-6 a couple of times already without
issues. Unfortunately I do not see any results in any report, knowing
there are some. The logfile "openvas.dump" shows

You may need to play around with the "Alive Test", which by default is an
icmp ping AFAIK.

Hi there,
the "Alive Test" option of the Tasks is a great feature of OpenVAS-7.
Unfortunately it seems not to be working when scanning via an OpenVAS
slave (version 7 as well). Running a Task with "TCP-SYN Service Ping"
locally returns hosts/results, but running the same Tasks in a

This has been moved to OpenVAS Manager in Version 7. "openvasmd --help"
provides the options.

Hi all,
I wanted to update the NVTs as it worked multiple times before, but when
rebuilding the NVT cache (openvasmd --rebuild) the system gets stuck. A
look into the openvasmd.log shows the following continuing every few
seconds:

Hi,
I have recognized a SSL certificate being identified to expire within 60
days, where is is expired since a long time already (see below). In
addition to that it is identified expired, which is correct.
Is there any setting so that it is not identified to expire soon anymore?

Hi,
I am having issues with scheduled scans that I wanted to investigate using
the log files. Unfortunately there seem to be no log entries for scheduled
scans, in contrast to manual scans. Is there any way to enable logging for
scheduled scans?
Thanks,
Helmut

As far as I remember I simply copied the directory PREFIX/var/lib/openvas
and possibly PREFIX/etc/openvas from OpenVAS 6 to OpenVAS 7, and run
"openvasmd --migrate" afterwards. Make sure to create backups in advance.
