## Looking back at the Newton cycle
During the Newton cycle, the Swift community has delivered at-rest
encryption. This feature is the culmination of a more than year of
work, and it enables Swift to be deployed in places where
I am submitting my candidacy for Swift PTL for the Newton cycle.
### Community growth
During the Mitaka cycle, we've seen the community grow from about 440
contributors to 531 today. That's a 20% growth in the last six months.
