We are using VMWareESXDriver for our grizzly deployment. Nova-compute
able to directly communicate with an ESX host and instance get
successfully launch on ESX host but instance is unable to boot.
Looking for any help.

I just copied the nova.conf file from
https://github.com/mseknibilel/OpenStack-Grizzly-Install-Guide/blob/OVS_SingleNode/OpenStack_Grizzly_Install_Guide.rst
and problem has gone away. I think no need to set
rpc_backend parameter in nova.conf file.

VMWare driver is able to swap instances from vmdk disks and everything
works fine.
Now what I want to do is to use OVA/OVF templates exported from ESXi in
order to easily create my own custom
