What's the version of gnocchi you're testing?
I am also experiencing the same problem with gnocchi 2.2.0 release. I find
that the gnocchi-metricd processes keep high CPU utility.

I found cinder havana version is added a new feature about the read-only
volume.
So I create a volume with setting volume metadata with key="readonly" and
value="True", and attached it to an instance.
However, it doesn't work. I can write data in volume.
Any wrong with my steps?
