Hi, I'm using cinder (mitaka release) with LVM. It seems that
lvm2-lvmetad is a mandatory service for openstack-cinder-volume with

active/passive cluster.

Hi, I'm trying to develop a solution for openstack-cinder-volume with an
active/passive cluster.
Basically I have a san that exposes a LUN to 2 openstack-cinder-volume
hosts, then I used pacemaker to create resources:

I have heat templates that take an image name as a parameter.
Is is possible to retrieve properties (set with openstack image create

Thanks a lot

Hi, i'm using openstack (icehouse) with virt-manager (ubuntu 15.04 64bit on
the physical server) and 3 vms (controller, compute and network with
neutron and gre - centos 6.5 64bit on each vm). When I try to launch a new
cirros 0.3.4 image, i have an error on the compute node:
DEBUG nova.virt.disk.
tside /etc ?
Within mysql perhaps? I found the table neutron.ml2_vlan_allocations and
can dig deeper if needed, but if there's a cleaner way to reconfigure I
would be glad to know.
Oh, and the OVS db, I though to ask before looking at that.

egress rules, but also "Ingress / IPv4 / Any / default".
Without that, I don't even need separate groups but can assign the same one
to all the VMs, and that's great!
Thanks again to you and Kevin

Hi,
I'm using Neutron+VLAN. Is it possible to isolate VMs in the same tenant
network, and filter traffic according to security rules?
In my understanding the allow_same_net_traffic in nova.conf only affects
nova-network and not Neutron behavior.
On the same note, I'd like to forbid traffic to be

Sorry but honestly I never experienced that problem! And making researches I
only found https://bugs.launchpad.net/neutron/+bug/1211915 that should be fixed
I'll investigate more...

My Idea is to first check this guide "easily" published on github with users,
and then propose a similar guide structure for some part of the official
documentation (for instance as an example of complete installation)

Hi, the best way is start learning in documentation and doing with DEVSTACK
(devstack.org)
This is a very good first step.
Also you can participate in all the projects (documentation, translation,
etc)
And my last advice, cheer up its a lot of fun coming
