Yes, but when you assign a "production" image to an ironic bare metal node. You should provide *ramdisk_id and kernel_id. * Should the *ramdisk_id and kernel_id* be the same as deploy images (aka the first set of k+r) ? You didn't answer me if the two sets of r + k should be the same ? *Best Regar

Hi, I never worked with Ironic but i think when it boots a machine with PXE it use the ironic conductor to get an image from glance and deploy it as any other VM on nova. Take a look to the user guide of ironic, they provide 2 diagrams with the architecture and explain how it works: http://docs.
