The page https://www.openssl.org/news/state.html, which is supposed
to indicate what the current/next version numbers are is out of date.
Specifically, it was not updated for the August 6 security updates,
so it still claims thatthe versions released on that day have not
yet been released

However that document seems to be missing.
Would you mind restoring the document, even if you are not otherwise
allowing Mr. Moeller to host stuff on www.openssl.org?

Why are the openssl man pages on http://linux.die.net more up to date than
http://www.openssl.org/docs?
For example, the cryptographic message digest SHA-256 has been around
since 2004. The die.net man pages mentions it
http://linux.die.net/man/3/evp_digestinit
but the openssl.org pages do not
It's now reachable again, thank to whom it belongs...

Hello,
A new mirror of http://www.openssl.org/ is located at
http://modssl.missouri.edu/ (located in Missouri, USA)
Also, there is a new mirror for the mod_ssl web site at
http://modssl.missouri.edu/ (Missouri, USA) as well. Both are
updated 4 times per day.
For those who still prefer ftp
Don't panic today when www.openssl.org or www.modssl.org is not accessible.
I'm currently updading the webserver installation. Just be patient...
