Why should I use SSL_shutdown ? I mean, I have successfully used the
closesocket() operations under win98 (async sockets) and the client
and server apps are just fine with closing the connection in this
manner, so why do I need SSL_shutdown for ? I know it's not
secured against a "close sock

I am implementing openssl app which uses async windows
sockets(nonblocking) and I am wondering whether openssl has any
completion notification like a callback function to signal that the
connection stage has been completed, or there is information ready to
read. I cannot use Winsock IO Com
ethod to handle sockets
in non-blocking manner which will work correctly with OpenSSL?

Hi,
I am trying to test a client / server program in which the client uses a
certificate at depth 10 and the client uses at depth 1, where both have the
same root CA.
I get this error :
Unable to get issuer certificate locally
Can anyone tell me what the problem could be ?

perhaps you should check the certificates. They may not have the right CA in
the chain.

hi all,
I am unable to run the program net_ssl_test that comes with the
Crypt-SSLeay-0.15on Sun Solaris. It says that it cant load the file
SSLeay.so and that mmap failed.
Can anyone help me out of this?
