Unable to run the Patch files ("FixPatch" or "patch -p1 < SSLpatch")

I follow the readme.ssl file from "apache_1.3.12+ssl_1.40.tar.gz" and I can't run the "fixpatch" or "patch -p1 < SSLpatch", since the system doesn't recognize those patch files. Where should I run those? or Do I need any other programs to be installed on my machine? I have: [Configs] NT4 sp5 DDK

Is SSLeay an alternative of OpenSSL? Thanks.
