Yesterday I ran into the same problem. After some trial
and error, I was able to get it to work by editing nt.mak and changing
the CFLAG variable to:
CFLAG= /MT /Od -DDEBUG -D_DEBUG /Gs0 /Zi /nologo -
DOPENSSL_SYSNAME_WIN32 -DWIN32_LEAN_AND_MEAN -DL_ENDIAN -DDSO_WIN32 -
D_CRT_SECURE_NO_DEPRECATE -
