I'm trying to build open-ssl-0.9.2b on linux with rsaref-2.0.
rsa and open-ssl both build cleanly without errors or warnings.
all of the tests run OK when I do a 'make test' until it gets to the rsa part and then
I get:

It only generates #defines and structures for pem

Well, you may have to create a ssleay.cnf file yourself!

locate ssleay only finds the binary /usr/sbin/ssleay and the .gif
files... I've tried removing the RPM and re-installing it from the CD
and it is still the same.

the syntax has changed: know you use symbolic
It may be that they've put the configuration file in /etc.
See if there is a file /etc/ssleay.cnf.
You can also take a look at it! :-)
then when you try to run any command you can use the '-config
/etc/ssleay.cnf' option.
That should do it!
