The default was always Nvidia card and each program can be set to Nivida or Integrated graphics. Once the updated installer was in place it pulled installed and executed it. However, the time from starting the viewer til Login page presents is about 25 seconds even with no updates pending. The web

There is a Nvidia control program that comes with a list of registered programs and which graphics chip they should run on. An individual can add to/edit that list. When this was a new issue years ago someone at LL found the right person to contact inside Nvidia and got the viewer's name added to

I think it’s likely that the initial launcher isn’t going to switch discrete graphics mode in to detect it. (Isn’t it just a python script?) You’re either going to have to go off of the chipset detected or maybe add some GL intense splash screen to the launcher that causes the system to kick over
