Pulseaudio is the default in all ubuntu versions. 64bit gstreamer will not work with 32bit Secondlife Viewer even with pulseaudio because secondlife accesses the gstreamer lib not pulseaudio. Gstreamer is the one to access the pulseaudio subsystem. The only way to get it to work is to build a 64bit
