Disk 1 (assuming DVD media).
I do agree, a LOT has changed between S10 and OS, and would only recommend you
run a S10 system if you want to pursue certification...
Just be aware S10 is no longer free, so get ready to offer
When I took the certification last year it was mainly Solaris related.
Personally, I wouldn't give a certification any credit...One of the questions
was:

I want to pursue the Sun Certified Solaris Associate, but I was wondering, if
i could use opensolaris in place of solaris 10 OS to study for the
